Easter table decoration – natural materials

Easter table decorations, especially those made by hand, are a wonderful way to emphasize the festive atmosphere and bring colorful, spring accents into your home. Nature itself can be a source of many inspirations in this case. It is worth remembering this, especially since eco-style decorations are very fashionable! Decorations made of flowers, branches, herbs, vegetables, or eggshells not only look great on the Easter table but also constitute an interesting alternative to ready-made arrangements straight from store shelves. Moreover, natural materials are easily accessible, and it only takes a moment to create a unique, Easter atmosphere on the table.

How to decorate the Easter table - our suggestions

Herbs such as rosemary, basil, or thyme will not only give dishes a unique aroma but also help adorn the table. Placed in small pots or jars, they will add freshness and natural charm to the festive table.

It's also a good idea to use spring vegetables such as young carrots or radishes. They can be used to create original and colorful table decorations. Spring flowers and herbs will certainly create a harmonious composition with them!

Speaking of eco-style ideas, one cannot overlook eggshells. After proper cleaning and decorating, they can become extraordinary elements of Easter table decoration. You can paint them, cover them with decoupage technique, decorate them with ribbons or delicate lace. Such finished ornaments can be placed on plates, as decorations on napkins, or in baskets set in the middle of the table.

Creating your own unique Easter decorations is not only extremely satisfying but also makes the Easter table arrangement take on a unique character and originality.

Flowers as an Easter table decoration

Colorful tulips, daffodils, or other fresh flowers placed in a decorative vase will not only be the most beautiful invitation to spring but also an interesting Easter table decoration. Potted or cut flowers will bring a pleasant atmosphere into the interior and emphasize the joyful character of the most important holiday of the year.

To make your Easter table decoration modern and somewhat nonchalant, put the flower arrangements into... a salad bowl or carafe with water! Such an unconventional decoration will beautifully harmonize with other elements of the Easter table.

To create beautiful floral compositions, you can also use bulbous plants, such as hyacinths or narcissi. Plant them in a deeper, glass container filled with soil (a milky-white salad bowl or an impressive candlestick would be perfect for this purpose). In this way, in just a few moments, you will conjure up a surprising centerpiece for the Easter table. If you want to add even more festive character, put colorful eggs and yellow chick figurines into the container.

Tip

Unconventional Easter table decorations can also be easily created using herbs.

In eggshells, sow, for example:

  • oats,
  • cress,
  • radishes,
  • arugula,
  • oregano,
  • rosemary,
  • thyme.

During the holidays, be sure to place the herbal compositions on the Easter table!

Easter decorations with branches

Planning to prune shrubs in the garden? – Don't throw away the branches, but use them to make a spring bouquet for the Easter table. Just put them in a glass vase with water, and probably in a few days you will see the first green leaves on them, which will bring a pleasant, truly spring atmosphere into your home.

When preparing Easter table decorations, you can successfully use dry branches too – just remove their bark or paint them with white spray, tie them with twine, and hang colorful blown-out eggs on them, thus gaining unique Easter decorations.

From the wide range of natural materials, it is worth choosing willow, boxwood, or forsythia branches. Properly composed, they create an extremely atmospheric Easter centerpiece. They are easy to work with and can be used to create spectacular bouquets in the center of the table or as natural bases for Easter eggs.

Branches are a good material for creating an imitation bird's nest. Put a few quail, dyed eggs and feathers into it, and place the whole on a large, glass plate or platter. This idea will certainly delight and attract the attention of guests.
